Mashed potatoes!

While it may not strictly be an Italian plate, mashed potato is definitely very popular in Italy, and we like to have our very own version of it :)

Ingredients
Potatoes 2
Butter 20g
Grated Parmesan cheese 30g
Whole Milk 150ml
Nutmeg A sprinkle
Salt A sprinkle
Method
1. Peel the potatoes and boil them in a pan full of water until they become quite soft. This should take about 40 minutes, and you can judge consistency with a fork.
2. When the potatoes are done, drain the water and mash them with a fork or with a potato masher.
3. In the meantime, warm the milk in a separate pan, and add a sprinkle of nutmeg and salt when it’s warm.
4. Turn on the potato pan flame again and add the milk. Use a whisk to stir until the potatoes have absorbed the milk.
5. Add the butter, stir again and turn off the flame.
6. Add the grated cheese and stir everything together. Your mashed potato is ready to serve!
