A bit of history behind this dish…
Fun fact: this is the first cake I ever made, so I thought it would be nice to make it my first blog post! It’s very easy, but super soft and very tasty It still remains one of my favourite desserts to make and eat :)

Ingredients
Eggs 3
Sugar 250g
Oil (extra virgin olive oil or sunflower oil) 100ml
Water (or milk) 130ml
Plain Flour 250g
Baking powder 16g
OR
Self-rising flour 260g
Method
1. Using an electric whisk, whip eggs and sugar together.
2. Slowly add the oil, then water or milk, flour and baking powder or self-rising flour, as you have chosen.
3. Get a baking tin and with the help of a fork put butter all on the insides. Then add a thin layer of breadcrumbs so it’s easier to remove the cake from the tin when cooked.
4. You can now pour the mix in the cake pan and put it in the already warm oven for about 40 minutes at 175/180°. Dip a toothpick in the middle of the cake after the cooking time to make sure it’s done inside too.
5. You can put icing sugar on top before serving.
