Tiramisù

Looking for a tasty classic Italian dessert to impress your guests or simply to satisfy your own palate? How about some Tiramisu for you…

Ingredients

Sponge fingers 300g

Eggs 4

Mascarpone 500g

Sugar 100g

Instant Coffee 500ml

Cocoa powder A sprinkle


Method

1. Separate the egg white from the yolk in two separate bowl. Make the instant coffee so that it has time to cool down.

2. Use an electric whisk to whip the egg yolk and add half of the sugar.

3. When the mixture becomes frothy, add the mascarpone bit by bit and keep whisking. You should obtain a thick and compact cream.

4. Clean the whisks thoroughly and use them to whip the egg white. Add the remaining sugar and keep whisking until it becomes very fluffy and compact.

5. Little by little, add the egg white to the yolk and mascarpone and stir together.

6. When the mix is ready, put it at the bottom of a tray or glass as you prefer.

7. Take the coffee and soak the sponge fingers one by one, and lay them on top of the cream in the tray, making the first layer.

8. Ensure you have a smooth surface, then cover in cream again and add another layer of sponge fingers. You can keep adding as many layers as you wish, depending on the shape of your tray.

9. Let it sit in the fridge for at least two hours. Sprinkle cocoa on top before serving.
